The PSA is a member of the U.S. Consortium for the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology, one of whose roles is to represent the U.S. in the International Union of History and Philosophy of Science and Technology and its divisions: the Division of Logic, Methodology and Philosophy of Science and Technology and the Division of History of Science and Technology. The Consortium is made up of societies in philosophy, history, and social studies of science that have large numbers of US members and/or have administrative offices based in the US. This currently includes the American Association for the History of Medicine; the International Society for the History, Philosophy, and Social Studies of Biology; the International Society for the History of Philosophy of Science; the History of Science Society; the Society for Literature, Science, and the Arts; and the Society for the History of Technology. The PSA appoints delegates to represent it as part of the U.S. delegation to DLMPST and DHST General Assembly meetings.
